About Me

Hello! My name is Sandra Lesh, and I am a professional graphic designer, educator, and writer. A native of northeastern Missouri, I have lived in the state my entire life and share a home with my husband and four cats. We have three adult children, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and a 2-year-old grandson. I have a passion for all types of visual communication and design and have worked in the graphics industry in both a creative and production capacity. In recent years, I have been teaching a variety of undergraduate graphic design and Web design courses online, as well as working with instructional designers as a subject matter expert to develop new courses. Responsibilities included preparing customer-supplied electronic files for output to Indigo digital press. Also used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and QuarkXPress to produce art/illustration files for medical textbook publication. Many pre-press responsibilities included outputting electronic files to film and creating dylux proofs and matchprints.

Responsibilities included layout of newsletters, brochures, and other publications, as well as scanning of photos and outputting of film to imagesetter. Also performed production tasks such as manual stripping of film, paste-up, and platemaking.

Designed various monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly publications for clients of a division of Adamson Advertising.
